Collection: Bamboo Furniture

Sustainability in mind, from tree farmer to quality furniture.

Local farmers hand-pick each bamboo cane used in our bamboo products, which safeguards the bamboo forest ecosystem and leaves the bamboo root system undamaged so new bamboo shoots will grow the next year. Clear cutting is not used—a timber harvesting method that fells all standing trees in an area. Each bamboo cane is used in its entirety during manufacturing, wasting nothing. We aren’t kidding–100% of the bamboo is used, even the sawdust, which generates steam for the dry kiln room and press machine!

What is Bamboo?

Bamboo is one of the world's fastest-growing plants. It can grow up to 35 inches in a single day and can reach full maturity in less than five years. This makes bamboo an ideal material for sustainable furniture-making.

Bamboo is also extremely strong and durable. Only mature Moso bamboo is used to make our furniture, ensuring that our products are exceedingly strong and durable. Its high strength-to-weight ratio produces sturdy, time-tested, sustainable furniture.

Bamboo furniture is also naturally anti-fungal, odor-resistant, and antibacterial, thanks to its natural “bamboo kun” property. In addition to its eco-friendly nature, bamboo’s antibacterial properties make it more sanitary than other materials.

What are the Best Ways to Clean and Care for Your Bamboo Furniture?

In order to care for your bamboo furniture, you should dust it regularly and wipe it down with a damp cloth. If needed, you can use soapy water, or a mild dishwashing liquid when wiping. You should also avoid placing heavy objects on the furniture and make sure that you don't apply any harsh chemicals.
